Introduction

Snap Color Picker (“the Extension”, “we”, “our”) is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to pick and copy color values from any webpage. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Extension.

Data Collection

What We Collect

The Extension captures a screenshot of the active browser tab only when you explicitly click the “Pick from Page” button. This screenshot is processed entirely in memory on your device and is never stored, transmitted, or shared.

From this screenshot, the Extension extracts:

• Color values (HEX, RGB, HSL, OKLCH) from the pixel you click on

These color values are saved locally on your device using Chrome’s built-in chrome.storage.local API to provide the color history feature. You can clear this data at any time by clicking “Clear all” in the extension popup.

What We DO NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Browsing history or URLs you visit
• Screenshots or images of webpages
• Keystrokes, clicks, or mouse movements
• Location data or IP addresses
• Health, financial, or authentication information
• Any form of personal communications

Data Storage

All data (color history and format preferences) is stored exclusively on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data is:

• Never uploaded to any server
• Never shared with third parties
• Never used for advertising or analytics
• Automatically removed when you uninstall the Extension

Data Sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties. There is no backend server, no analytics service, and no external data processing.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. There are no external API calls or network requests made by the Extension.

Children’s Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the updated version available at this URL.
